Precision has been my go to company to replace my garage door broken springs. They have always been very responsive. I have heavy wooden doors and this is the second time one of the springs broke in sixteen years. The technicians arrived within the time window and were very professional. Precision has always done a great job on repairs/replacement of our garage door. They are prompt and they work quickly and thoroughly.

On Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 I called the Precision Door Service Office to report a malfunction with my garage door not closing properly. Mr. Gary Morkassel was sent to service the problem with my garage door. He adjusted the springs, tightened all hardware, aligned safety eyes, tightened brackets, rewired safety eyes, adjusted opener travel and lubricated the tracks. I paid the price for the service, which totaled $155.00. On Monday, Oct. 6,2014 I returned from a trip to Pittsburgh, Pa. and I discovered that my garage door was wide open. I closed the door and on Tuesday morning Oct. 7, 2014 I found that my door was wide open again. I call the Precision Office again to advise of the problem I was having again. Mr. Morkassel showed at the garage at 9:30am to checked the problems with the door. He decided to erase all opener codes and reprogram two transmitters, which are used to open and close the doors. I was charged a price for this service of $55.00, which covered the 10 minutes that involved this particular secondary repair. Mr. Morkassel did a good job of repairing the garage door, but it would have been better if the repairs could have been completed on the first repair call, which may have saved me additional costs.

Eric was a great technician for us – answered all our questions on options and pros/cons, did a good job on installation, and clean-up. We appreciated the weekend and evening availability for quotes, quote on day of meeting, prompt requotes when we altered work and coordination of the work. They only suggestions I would have would be to have extra color samples since that took more effort than it should and that our opener model does not have a feature to turn on the light when the beam is crossed – the only items that reduced rating. Product choices were good and pricing competitive.
